On a recent trip to Alaska we found a great view of the Margerie Glacier in Glacier Bay. The bright blue is a result of the snow falls on the glacier, is then compressed, and becomes part of the glacier. Air bubbles are squeezed out and ice crystals enlarge, making the ice appear blue, and gives an awe inspiring view. Although there is a element of sadness when you consider that most every other glacier has receded in Glacier Bay, there is an element of hope as Margerie glacier has been described as stable in it is not growing or receding. ………………. Travel safe 🙂

No post for awhile now but I thought you would like me to share this great wake up view I get a lot of mornings from my apartment in San Pedro in California. A great view at the best of time over looking the Long Beach and Port of LA Harbor but when the sun's right, this is what you get.
Travel Safe Trevor Well, off travelling again this weekend to Page Arizona which is at the far end of the Grand Canyon near lake Powell. Looking forward to seeing the canyon again and taking another set of what I hope will be great shots which I can blend into another series of panoramas to add to the every growing Grand Canyon collection .......Click on the picture above to be transferred to the current collection Cathy has booked 2 guided tours to Antelope Canyon on different days so we can get the light from different times of the day which should give fantastic shafts of light through the holes in the roof and slots in the canyon ceiling. I am getting excited about this trip to especially photograph Antelope Canyon and then move on to the great view of Horseshoe Bend another iconic vista of the Grand Canyon Anyway call back soon to see another great vista and panoramic shot from an iconic part of the USA As always ............Travel safe :) Trevor Well a little late I know but let me wish all my followers and friends a very Happy and Prosperious New Year for 2013. Late because we have been to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for a few days over the Christmas break and travelled back yesterday. Puerto Vallarta has some great views as well as some great diving (scuba diving that is) and a new picture over looking the old town of Puerto Vallarta will adorn the site shortly
We were fortunate to have dinner at the Los Carmelitas restaurant with friends which over looks the old town and bandaras bay ..................wow what a view :) Anyway come back in a few days and see the new panoramic vista and again let me wish you all a great and happy 2013 Travel Safe Trevor www.trevorcurtis.com I would like to welcome you all to the new addition to the family .......oops collection (did the granddaughters last time :) ). Well anyway this is a panoramic vista from the beautiful island of Bonaire which is some 50 miles off the coast of Venezeula and some 39 sq km (112 sq miles) in size. Bonaire is famous for one thing (well actually 2) Scuba diving and beautiful sunrises and sunsets. In terms of Scuba diving it must the capital of all dive vacations in that there are over 80 dive locations around the island and when you consider a third of the island is a National Park with no dive sites then they are certainly packed close to each other .........well you can actually walk from one to another in many locations !! As you can see from the new addition the island has some fabulous Sunsets too ................ If you get the chance take a visit to Bonaire even if your not a scuba diver as the slow pace of the island and great vista are worth the time to get there. This beautiful panorama is available for your home at our Monthly Special Offer page.....enjoy! Well, its that time of the year again so I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and very Prosperous New Year in 2013 ...................assuming the Mayans are wrong on the 21st :) Travel Safe Trevor 11/14/2012 UK Trip - back to blighty.......... and 2 new additions to the collection .....opps ...family!Read NowWell off on new adventures this week back to the UK, well actually business and pleasure as landed in Scotland first where I am visiting our daughter who has just given birth to twin girls....Poppy and Ava .................... and congrats to Alison and Aiddy on two beautiful additions to the family. I am especially excited as the new site has a lot more interactive elements about it and especially the new store front option for you to purchase merchandise from my collection of beautiful panoramic vistas from around the world. Also I have introduced a new colection of what I call "ICONS", smaller print size pictures roughly 10" x 10" print size in a 14" square frame which complement the panorams and are of iconic items, vistas and views around the area where the panoramas were shot. Please enjoy the new site as much as I have enjoyed developing it and dont be a stranger as your comments about the work and the blog (and the site) are most welcome as I love hearing from you .....................Trevor |
